Our Story

The Melanie & Rosalie Albright Foundation was founded in memory of sisters Melanie and Rosie Albright, whose lives were marked by courage, creativity, and a deep love for the arts.

What began in 2016 as a way to honor their legacy has grown into a mission of providing scholarships, recognition, and opportunities that help young people discover confidence, belonging, and joy through artistic expression.

Since becoming a nonprofit organization in 2018, the Foundation has awarded more than $42,400 in scholarships and has impacted hundreds of young people through awards, workshops, camps, and arts experiences.

We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to discover and share their God-given gifts and we are committed to honoring Melanie and Rosie’s legacy by helping the next generation thrive.

Scholarships That Change Lives

Since 2017, The Melanie & Rosalie Albright Foundation has awarded more than $42,400 in scholarships to 126 young people pursuing their passions in the arts.
Our scholarships help remove financial barriers and encourage students to discover, develop, and share their God-given gifts.

The Rosie Awards

The Rosie Awards celebrate young people who exemplify the qualities that made Rosie Albright so special—Positivity, Character, and Dedication.

Each year, we recognize young people whose actions, perseverance, and kindness make a meaningful impact. The Rosie Awards are not about talent or achievement, but about honoring the character and heart of the next generation.

Since 2016, The MRA Foundation has honored 58 remarkable young people through the Rosie Awards program, reminding young people that who they are and how they treat others matters.

The Rosie Workshops

The Rosie Workshops provide young people with opportunities to explore creativity, discover new interests, and build confidence through hands-on arts experiences.

Through interactive workshops led by artists, educators, and industry professionals, participants are encouraged to learn, create, and connect with others who share their passions.

Launched in 2026, the Rosie Workshops welcomed more than 60 participants in their first year, creating meaningful experiences that inspire confidence, belonging, and joy through the arts.

Thanks to the generous support of IBEW Local 481 and the Indiana Arts Commission, the 2026 Rosie Workshops were offered free of charge so every young person can participate regardless of financial circumstances.
